|This green rooibos blend is caffeine free and is sure to be enjoyed by young and old alike. The reddish amber cup imparts a fruity, heady aroma. It has an interesting complex flavor that is a perfectly balanced blend of fruity, sweet and exotic.|
Like the Sugar Plum Fairy herself, this herbal blend has an elegant taste that is sure to become a classic.
Ingredients: Organic green rooibos, organic whole cloves, rosehips, hibiscus, sweet blackberry leaf, flavorings, vanilla beans, mallow blossoms and raspberry pieces.
Brew tea at 212ļ - steep for 5 minutes.
Caffeine Free. Certified Kosher
Sugar Plum Fairy Cookies
1 cup + 4 Tbsp salted butter
5 Tbsp Sugar Plum Fairy Tisane
In a small saucepan melt the butter over low heat. Remove from the heat, add the tea, stir, cover and steep 8 minutes. Strain into a measuring glass to make sure the tea butter equals a little over 1 cup. Refrigerate.
1 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
1 large egg yolk (reserve the egg white)
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (or use the Holiday tea vodka above)
2 3/4 cups flour
1 Tbsp milk (if needed)
When the tea butter is cool and softened (not hard) put it in a mixer and blend on medium speed with the confectioner's sugar. Add the egg yolk, salt and extract and mix until combined. Slowly add in the flour. If the dough needs any help coming together add the milk slowly as needed.
Cut 2 sheets of waxed paper. Turn the dough out onto one of the sheets of waxed paper and form a ball. Divide it in half and place each half on a sheet of waxed paper. Form the dough into a flat, round shape and wrap. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
Preheat the oven to 350.
Remove the dough from the fridge and let soften until you are able to roll it out. On a floured surface, roll out one of the pieces of dough to approximately 1/4" thick. Cut out shapes with a cookie cutter or small drinking glass. Re-roll and repeat.
Place the formed cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet or an ungreased sheet. Use the reserved egg white for a glaze. Whisk a little water (no more than 1 Tbsp) into the egg white and brush onto the cookies. Sprinkle with colored sugar and bake for 12 minutes (or until lightly browned).
||Fruit + Clove
|The first taste is sweet and fruity, but thatís followed by a tingly clove flavor, which I didnít enjoy so much. This honestly tastes kind of strange, and the clove scent is very strong. I used the rest to make cookies, which turned out all right.|
||A lovely caffeine free tea to put you in the holiday spirit!
|This tea is the first of the holiday collection that I have tried and it's absolutely delicious!!! This tea has lovely flavors of cloves, vanilla and hibiscus and I have enjoyed this tea hot and slightly chilled. It really does remind me of a Sugar Plum Fairy! I appreciate the fact that this tea is caffeine free. I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys hibiscus teas!|

||Sugar Plum Fairy Rooibos
|The Sugar Plum Fairy Rooibos makes up an iced tea that's well suited for a warm evening. It's an after dinner treat with its sweet fruity flavors, which are paired well with a hint of spice.|
|The Sugar Plum Fairy - Rooibos is divine. It has a natural sweetness and full of flavour. The clove is very distinct, but I love it! I can separately taste the berry flavour as well. When I drink this one in the mornings it leaves a Christmas smell in my car. I will definitely keep this one stocked.|

||A lovely well planned holiday evening blend.
|This is such a well thought out blend here. So many ingredients that seem like they make the blend extra special: Organic green rooibos, organic whole cloves, rosehips, hibiscus, sweet blackberry leaf, flavorings, vanilla beans, mallow blossoms and raspberry pieces. The mallow flowers on that green rooibos base just visually pop. Sadly, I wish I loved the flavor of the blend more than I love the effort behind it. Mainly, there is a flavor of blackberry leaves that is the most distinct, which I wish wasn't here at all. The hibiscus and rosehips aren't making an appearance at all, even while brewing two teaspoons, which is fine with me. I'm not sure which of these ingredients I can actually taste other than the blackberry leaves which is a shame. On the second steep, the brew color looked like the inside of a plum, which is a nice touch. It even had more of a hint of plum flavor, which was nice, but I'm not sure if that was the other fruity elements... The second steep seemed like a completely different tea from the first steep and I'm glad the blackberry leaves were less noticeable in the second cup. S&V has an excellent black tea blend with plum flavoring, so I'm surprised more (if any) of that plum flavor wasn't used here.
Steep #1 // 2 teaspoons for a full mug// 15 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 4 minute steep|
|This is a good-tasting caffeine-free tea. It has a subtle fruity taste. I do prefer it with just a touch of sugar, honey or stevia. But if you like fruit teas, you will like this one for sure!|

||Enjoy this tea and have sweet dreams!
|Caffeine-free teas have always fallen short with flavor for me and my favorite teas with caffeine just were not good choices in the evening. However, I decided to try some new decaf blends and I am so glad I did!
The Sugar Plum Fairy Rooibos Herbal Tisane is perfect to sip on a cozy evening. I was surprised at the boldness of the delicous fruit medley, which has just a hint of tartness from the hibiscus. The magical touch for me was the light spicy accent of clove that gently kissed the blend. Because this is a Rooibos, there are no worries about caffeine. This rosy Amber tea can be enjoyed any time. It will probably change your mind about decaffeinated teas as it did mine!|
