This domestic, high quality, proprietary blend of tomatoes has been cultivated in the USA using some of the same variety of seed used in San Marzano, Italy, which produces a tomato that is deep red, firm and meaty, and with very few seeds. These tomatoes are low in acid and high in fruitiness because they are hand picked when they are fully ripened. They are firm because they have been scalded just long enough to loosen and remove the skin.
