Nutcracker brews to a deep amber color with a creamy, refreshing taste and a heavenly aroma. The flavors in this blend are not competitive, they perfectly complement one another … kind of the way it should be during the holiday season!

Ingredients: black tea, almond pieces, orange peel, cranberries and cinnamon & chocolate mint flavors. Contains Tree Nuts.

Brew tea at 212º - steep for 3 minutes.

Nutcracker Black Tea Caramels
 Nutcracker Tea Caramels

These caramels are easy to make and are melt-in-your-mouth delicious! They also make a great gift. Simply put the finished caramels in a decorative box or tin and you've got the perfect hostess gift.

Ingredients:
     1 cup heavy cream
     2 Tbsp Nutcracker Black Tea

     4 Tbsp butter
1 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
     1/4 cup corn syrup
     1/4 cup water
     1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pour the cream into a 3 quart saucepan and heat over low heat until hot but not boiling. Remove from the heat and add the Nutcracker tea. Cover and steep for 5 minutes. Strain into a measuring cup and add extra cream, if necessary, to make 1 cup.

While the tea is steeping in the cream prepare your mold. Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment so that excess paper hangs over the edges. Spray the parchment with nonstick spray.

Nutcracker Tea CaramelsIn the saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the tea cream, sugar, syrup and water. Stir and cook until boiling. Attach a candy thermometer into the saucepan and continue to cook to 250°F. (Don't have a way to attach the thermometer? We balanced our thermometer through a slotted spoon.)

Once the caramel reaches 250, remove from the heat and quickly whisk in the vanilla extract and pour into the prepared parchment lined dish. Allow the caramels to cool at room temperature for a few hours, or overnight, before cutting.

When the caramels are cooled, lift with the parchment paper onto a cutting board. Cut with a sharp knife into your desired size. Place each caramel in a piece of waxed paper. Fold the paper and twist the ends.

Voila delicious tea caramels!

Note: These caramels are best enjoyed within 2 weeks.

Sumptuous

I wasn't sure what to expect from this, with the chocolate in it. Wow! It is decadent, mouth filling, perfect to relax on a cold winter evening. I enjoy both flavored and unflavored teas, and this one is a dessert in a cup.

Nutcracker Tea
8/22/2018
I ordered this tea because the ingredients sounded appealing. Like others have stated the mint is the most predominant flavor I'm picking up on. Its not overpowering though and even though I can't pick up on the almond, orange, cranberries or cinnamon they all come together to make a pretty tasty cup. I do prefer the St. Nick tea from the holiday collection but this one is a solid cup of tea. Very enjoyable.

Not the magic I'd execpt with all these ingredients...
6/9/2018
It's summer, time to write a tasting note for Nutcracker! I've tried this tea a few times but it just never results in the cup I want. There are so many ingredients here, but it's very light in flavor, both with the black tea itself and the flavors and ingredients. What should be here: almond pieces, orange peel, cranberries, cinnamon & chocolate mint flavors. Even though I noticed plenty of orange pieces, and at least two cranberries and other various bits go into the infuser, it's tough to taste any of these. In a blind taste test, I probably wouldn't mention ANY of the included ingredients. Maybe all the flavors just combine together to create a new flavor instead of flavors I can't pick apart. Because honestly, I can't distinctly taste any of these flavors. Also, the black tea results in a very light brown color with both steeps. So overall, not the holiday magic I expect (and the steeps were the same in the winter as well, so it isn't just a matter of sipping season.) Ah well, can't win them all. Steep #1 // 1 1/2 teaspoon for a full mug// 12 minutes after boiling // 3 minute steep Steep #2 // just boiled // 4 minute steep

Christmas in a cup!
12/29/2015
This tea is as yummy as it smells! While the mint was a bit overpowering, all in all I loved this tea and plan to make it a Christmas Tradition in my teapot. It makes me think of the Nutcracker and would be a perfect drink while watching it!

Great for Christmas
12/7/2015
Now this tea is really very good with flavors of almonds, chocolate, mint and cranberries. This tea will definitely remind you of Christmas at grandmas house. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was I thought it had a little to much mint flavor, other wise its really yummy.
