Tasty Lavender |
7/6/2020 |
The main flavor is lavender with the bit of bitterness that lavender brings. The lavender flavor really lingers in your mouth. The black base definitely adds some complexity to the blend, but I’m not sure I would know it’s black tea if I hadn’t seen the leaves going in. So I like this blend, but I don’t like it better than lavender lace. |

Really beautiful blend. Just the right amount of lavender and slightly honey-like. I will get this again! |

Lovely fresh lavender on a light black base... I want more 'nectar'! |

Another unique blend from S&V. This is a black tea with plenty of lavender and a hint of fruit flavor... though I'm not sure I'm noticing much fruit flavor. It's supposed to be apricot, and if I notice any it's only the hint of a flavor in the first cup. It's not surprising because there is SO MUCH fresh lavender here. So much. But it's delicious. The black tea is very light, so if I had to guess with my eyes closed I'd say I was drinking a lavender blend, with no black tea at all. The black tea is a little light for me. Of course, I might not have steeped the second cup long enough or with boiling water. I'd really love that 'nectar' to be much more noticeable. But this tea is a win for lavender anyway.
Steep #1 // 1 teaspoon for a full mug// 10 minutes after boiling // 3 minute steep
Steep #2 // few minutes after boiling // 3 minute steep |

Lovely Lavender |

I am an avid fan of the scent of lavender in just about every product imaginable. I even grew three varieties in my own garden last year to use in sachets. However, I have never joined the ranks of the culinary lavender devotees...until today! The Floral Nectar tea contains a generous amount of very fragrant lavender. The fragrance from my steamy cup was delightful. I sipped this gingerly because I thought surely the flavor would be quite overwhelming. Surprisingly, the lavender was almost mellow. I believe the fruity flavor noted as apricot in the description was the perfect addition for balancing this black tea. All in all, the flavor, though quite unusual, was not soapy or herbal at all. If you are considering a lavender tea, this is a nice one to try. |

For the lavender lovers |

“Lavender all the way” is a very apt description of this black tea. It tastes exactly like it smells, which is to say very heavily of lavender. The taste is too strong for me, but would probably be perfect for true lavender lovers. |

Good lavender tea. |

Ever since I first tried a lavender Earl Grey a while back, Ive liked lavender teas. Theres lots of lavender in the mix, and I could smell it right through the bag, which made me a little worried if it was too floral at first. I didnt have to worry, since the lavender flavor is there, but isnt overwhelming at all. |

nice floral tea |

I initially was concerned that this would be overly sweet or floral, but I have found it to be very nicely balanced. The black tea is strong enough to stand up to the floral, so it works well. |
