Dunmore East is a small fishing village on Ireland's southeastern coast in County Waterford. This beautiful village is very popular as a vacation destination known for its fishing and water activities, beaches, fabulous restaurants and cafes, music, and breathtaking scenery.
This delightfully bold blend of teas, with a golden cup, a malty flavor and a slightly fruity aftertaste was created to honor Cyndi's wonderful memories of holidays in the village visiting her friends. This tea has become one of our favorite blends! Start the day with this hearty black tea blend, enjoyable with milk or sweetener but also perfect without!
This tea blend pairs well with chocolate, spiced desserts, cheeses, eggs, pastries, meats and more.
Brew tea at 212º - steep for 3 minutes.

DH's go-to tea |
9/24/2019 |
DH enjoys his tea strong enough to trot a mouse, but it still must meet his standards of taste and aroma. Dunmore East suits him perfectly. A very enjoyable blend. (I like it too!) |

Only Tea Grandmother Will Drink |
3/18/2018 |
My 93 year old grandmother says she has been ordering Simpson and Vail tea for at least the last 30-40 years. Although I don’t know the age of this particular blend, this is the only tea she will drink. |

Middle of the Road Boldness |

Dunmore East Blend is a perfect "in-between" black tea. It's somewhere in-between an English Breakfast tea and a bold Irish blend. A great blend for someone who wants something a little stronger but not too bold. |

This is the very first tea we tried and it is the reason we have kept ordering! The superior quality was evident from the first cup. Delicious! |

Will definitely buy again |

This is a strong, well-rounded blend that I found perfect with a touch of milk. A guest I served it to preferred it black and enjoyed the definite Irish nature of the blend coming through, as did I. |

After reading the description of this tea I was so excited to try it out, once again S&V has not disappointed. In fact this time they might have exceeded even my high expectations! This tea has a woodsy taste to it that makes it perfect for a relaxing after work unwind on the front porch! |

Hearty, satisfying, smooth. Perfect with a little milk. Just right to start your morning and lovely on a chilly afternoon. Brew it by the potful, youre going to want more than one cup. |

A woodsy hearty tea |
3/30/2015 |
A black tea that tastes slightly malty with a subtle smoky flavor like it was steeped over a wood fire. It tastes rich and woodsy. It brought to mind trampled leaves on a forest floor and that rich earthy scent of late autumn. It is a hearty and satisfying tea more suited to a sturdy mug than a dainty china cup. It has instantly become a staple in my home. |

This One is Not to Be Missed |

I try all kinds of tea, but have a few staples. This is one of them. I love Ireland and this reminds me of my one amazing visit there years ago. It’s a bold, hearty tea that holds up well to a little sugar and milk. It’s great in the morning and it’s a great pick me up in the afternoon. A perfect black tea blend that goes with everything. Be sure to try it! |

A Favorite |
3/1/2014 |
I took a chance and purchased the 4 ounce package after reading the lovely description of the tea and the previous reviewers comment. Was not disappointed...it is an absolutely wonderful tea, with chocolate notes and a delightful sweetness. Tastes so good alone, but with milk, brings out the chocolatey notes. The Dunmore East, along with English Breakfast are my favorites so far. I have a feeling these two teas will be depleted quickly from the shelves. |

Tea of Contentment |
2/20/2013 |
At first, slight trace of Ceylon like brightness, just enough to warm the back of your throat, then its all deliciously smooth and full. Nothing sharp, smoky,or demanding. Takes milk very well. Invokes a sense of contentment-quiet conversation among good friends..warmed by a peaty fire. |
