This sweet cherry flavored tea brews to a deep amber cup with a flavor that explodes on the tastebuds. This classic deep cherry flavor is a favorite with young and old alike.
Ingredients: Decaf black tea, hibiscus flowers, and wild cherry flavor.
Brew tea at 212º - steep for 3 minutes.
This tea is decaffeinated using the all-natural CO2 process.
Natural CO2 Decaffeination To decaffeinate tea it is necessary to find a solvent that will remove the caffeine from the leaf, while keeping as many of the healthy benefits and the taste profiles in. The best method we have found is natural CO2 decaffeination. This method consists of putting moistened tea leaves in a chamber, adding CO2 and pressurizing it. CO2, when pressurized, becomes a liquid which effectively removes caffeine from tea leaves, while just as effectively not removing many of the healthy benefits. When the liquid is poured off the leaves and the leaves are dried, the CO2 reverts back to its gas form and dissipates from the leaf. Decaffeinated teas generally still have 1-2% caffeine.
|Okay, I really hate giving any negative review and most of the S&V teas have been good to great. But this one was not good -- for me. The aroma that came from it reminded me of air freshener! I don't know why. Maybe it is just my weird nose!! But with that aroma hitting me, I could not enjoy the flavor at all. But it is worth a try if you like fruit teas (maybe add a touch of honey!).|

||More Cherries, Please!
|I wanted to try a few decaffeinated teas and this one sounded great. However, for me the cherry was mild and maybe even a bit floral and did not stand up to the black tea. I always enjoy the fragrance of a hot cup of tea, and this blend was not as fragrant as the Wild Cherry Green Tea. As in the green tea, the hibiscus seems to be hiding. For those who like black tea with just mild fruity floral undertones and no caffeine, this blend would be perfect.|
