The Gangde gardens in the Anxi county of Fujian province produce these tightly curled dark green leaves with their heavenly milky aroma and delicate green cup. This flavored oolong will delight your taste buds with a light, smooth, sweet and creamy taste.
Oolong teas, aka wulong, are made from large leaves that are produced in the late Spring. Unlike other types of tea that contain the top leaves and the buds of the bush, oolong teas are large well formed leaves that will sometimes also contain the stem of the bush. Oolongs differ from green, black and white teas by the method of processing and are the most labor intensive tea to produce. Each type of Oolong varies in the percentage of oxidation and the method in which it is processed (some are twisted, tippy leaves, some are cut, some are rolled into small balls).
Brew tea at 180º - steep for 2 minutes. This tea lends itself to multiple infusions; for multiple infusions, let the tea steep for approximately 15 seconds longer on each subsequent infusion.
Ingredients: China oolong tea and natural flavoring (milk). This tea is allergen free (no dairy, soy).

Good But a Little Too Much Flavor Added |
6/14/2019 |
TLDR: This is a good tea with a nice mouth-feel but has quite a bit of added flavoring that I wasn't expecting.
I enjoyed this tea but I found that there was a little too much flavor added for my tastes. It was very caramel but the mouth-feel was smooth and silky as a milk oolong should be. I ended up mixing this tea 50/50 with another brand's milk oolong that didn't have enough added flavor for my taste and it's turned out quite well. |

Smooth, buttery milky Oolong |

If you like butterscotch, butter rum Lifesavers candy, or egg nog, you will enjoy this tea. I ordered it as a sample, and *will* be a lifelong orderer as long as SV offers it! It is similar to SV's Celtic Cream green tea, but I think smoother and a bit richer because of the natural oolong difference from green tea, (which can become astringent if steeped in too-hot water). Per usual to many SV teas, this is top notch yummy. |

Amazing! |

I've tried a few oolong teas in my time but never one like this. I was pleasantly surprised to find it actually smelled milky! It smelled kind of like white chocolate. When I asked other members of my family to smell they smelled white chocolate and also butterscotch. When i brewed a cup and tasted I expected it to taste like any other oolong without the milky taste but was shocked once again to find it left a very creamy aftertaste in my mouth! This tea is so amazing! I haven't tried it with sweetener or honey yet, I don't think it really needs it to be thoroughly enjoyed, but I imagine it would only enhance the butterscotch/white chocolate experience. |

A smooth oolong |
4/17/2018 |
This is my first time ever trying a milky Oolong, and wow is it different! I was surprised how smooth and buttery it felt. It also has a slight fruity note to it- almost peach or melon like. It's a very unique tea! |

I love the buttery and creamy flavor of this tea. It's very delicate and mild. Something about the smooth buttery quality is just so satisfying and unique. It smells heavenly as well and is just a delight. |

An excellent Oolong |
4/22/2016 |
I first came across this as the daily complimentary sample at the Brookfield store. It is unlike any Oolong Ive had before, and is one I recommend. As others have stated no sugar or other add-on is needed; it is fantastic as it is. I dont know what the tea drinker from California was thinking regarding it being artificially flavored or what not. Ive been a loyal Simpson and Vail customer for years now, and I know they dont allow anything artificial in their tea; unlike Teavana. S&V is a small company; small enough to be careful about their sources of tea and other products. In fact the Sophia Natural Health Center down the road recommends S&V as a place to get ones tea from. |

So Delicious! |

I am in love with this tea. It is surprisingly creamy and smooth -- no need to add anything to it, such as sweetener or milk. I brew it in the travel mug that I bought at the S&V store; I end up drinking it all day because you can re-brew the tea a few times over. |

The best Oolong tea |
10/1/2015 |
I bought an ounce to try and now it is my favorite Oolong tea. I have tried many of the others and for me this is the best. Love the mild and creamy taste. My ounce didnt last long and I need to order more asap. |

Smooth and rich |

Recently, as my tea palate has improved, I have grown very fond of oolongs, which always seem to have an astounding complexity of flavor that arises purely from the leaves and their processing, rather than added flavors. This tea is no exception. It has a strong, sweet aroma. It is creamy at the back of the throat and finishes very sweet, like cream and honeydew.
I’d recommend this to anyone interested in oolongs or green tea, it’s a very green oolong. It is a light, yet flavorful, and comforting cup of tea. I tried up to 5 infusions for the sake of research and found that the first three held up very well in flavor and richness.

I like trying new things, so bought 1 oz. on sale. Was wowed! Very pale brew, looks like green tea. Mild, almost no astringency & pleasant aftertaste. NOT very milky like Chinese milk tea. Will buy again. |
