Detailed Description
This delightful sweet Keemun tea comes from the province of Anhui in the eastern part of China. Careful production of the tea and the jasmine flowers creates a deep golden cup with sweet, floral taste.
The fragrant floral aroma comes from the jasmine blossoms which are freshly collected before the midday heat. They are promptly delivered to the factory so that they are on the tea when they completely open at lunchtime.
The black tea is prepared for blending by heating the leaves slightly in high humidity, which opens the cells a little. With the now prepared leaf the fresh jasmine blossoms can be mixed so that the fine precious essential oils can be transferred from the blossoms to the tea. This process is performed 3-5 times in different batches and are then blended. Jasmine is produced in the Summer because the processing can only be done with fresh jasmine blossoms from August to mid-September.
Brew tea between 195º - steep for 3 minutes.
