Just lost my street cred... |
11/12/2020 |
My dad introduced my husband and me to S & V's Irish Cream Coffee years ago. We've been drinking it daily ever since. In fact, it's the first coffee to which my husband, a former non-coffee drinker, has committed emotionally100%. Frankly, he's addicted- swears it's improved his life ten-fold. And I, being the petty person I am, lord the fact that it is thanks to MY dad, thereby MY bloodline (and yeah, yeah, of course Simpson & Vail), that he is now a sated coffee drinker. Such a triumph has given me unimaginable street cred and power in our marriage. But all that changed when my husband decided to try this Salty Caramel Coffee. Now he's hooked. It's his new go-to. This coffee boasts an expertly balanced blend of savory and sweet. Every sip offers a delicate hint of caramel countered beautifully by a hint of saltiness. Nothing overpowering or overly-sweet about it. A joy to drink, either straight, garnished with some whip, or as the base for a frothy latte. So good, in fact, that I love it as much as the Irish Cream one. Having two favorite S & V coffees makes for a happy couple. Only downside is that my husband now (rightfully) boasts the bragging rights for this flavor being in stock in our cupboard. Which means me and my bloodline just lost major street cred. (But at least I can lick my proverbial wounds with a savory sip of salty caramel coffee.) |

Great coffee! |

I really enjoyed this one. My roommates also commented on how good it was. It has a very nice salted caramel flavor, as advertised, yet is not sweet like flavored teas that can usually be found in stores. The flavor is also not too overpowering. I already purchased it a couple times and would buy again. |
