Nice surprise |

I noticed this in New Teas. I decided to try it and went right to the loose tea version, missing the mention of it being akin to Brooke Bond. When I tasted it I was happily reminded of Brooke Bond so I googled PG Tips and discovered the link. This is the best widely marketed tea in the UK I have had since tasting Brooke Bond many years ago in Bermuda. It brews fast so try 1 to 3 min. with a flat tsp per cup then strain after brewing. Dark and medium strong but with a lovely brightness. Nice classic after taste. Does not get brackish in the pot. It is a cut tea blend so can not be rated against estate teas but in its category its top notch for me! |
