Very Fragrant |
12/2/2020 |
I love floral teas, and bought this because of how floral it sounded. It is good, but a word of warning--it is incredibly fragrant. I love fragrance, but for me it is a bit much. Taste is good, and strong. |

Tastes Like Spring |

While the lilacs in my yard may have come and gone, this tea captures the smell in the air and the joy it brings me for long afterwards. |

Maraschino cherries with lilacs |

The Lilac Bouquet Black Tea is delicious as an icy drink. I think it tastes a little like maraschino cherries with lilacs, which makes for an excitingly interesting iced tea. |

I didn't think this was possible! |

Received a sample packet with my regular order. Brewed a cup to enjoy with a berry scone. I have never tasted anything like it and I have been drinking tea for many many years. It is sensational. Will order in bulk when it is time for my regular reorder. You really need to try this! |

Not for me. |

I guess I should stick to rose, jasmine and lavender as far as floral teas go, because lilac is not for me. Both the scent and flavor were far too much like scented powder for my liking. Mixing it with French vanilla toned down the powderiness, but it still isn't really anything I care for. |

Lovely smell |

I tried this tea out of curiosity, not sure what to expect. I found that it has a lovely lilac smell in the bag and in the cup! The black tea base is pleasant, and I detected a lingering note of licorice in the finished tea that surprised me. Not sure why I tasted it, and perhaps that's just the way lilac tastes. Anyways, a great tea for lilac afficionados. |

Lovely lilac |

This tea was very gently flavored with lilac. The black tea was strong and the mildness of the lilac blossoms I felt were a smidge lost, but then I enjoy feeling like I am actually drinking the flower, whether it be rose, lavender or lilac, so perhaps that is why I wanted more. :) |

Delightful, perfect for afternoon |

Smells really good on opening. Floral, but a little heavy and dark somehow, in a good way. Tea is a bit broken up, and very dark colored.
Hard to put my finger on it. A bit of malt on the first part of the sip but it fades away into a fairly mild lilac. The black tea gives it enough body to balance the flower, so it doesnt seem soapy at all. The more I drank, the more I liked it. Excellent with a dash of lemon in it. No need for honey or sugar, light and sweet all in its own. |

A gorgeous tea in appearance, fragrance, and flavor! |

Oh I love the tiny little buds in this tea! Such a nice touch... the flowers so tiny you can barely see them. Lilac season is almost here! There are a few lilac bushes in the yard -- probably the best time of year for the yard while they are in bloom. Maybe because its towards the end of winter I cant really say how much this tea resembles lilacs, but the tea is certainly floral enough while not being too much for me. Nothing can really beat fresh lilacs though. First steep session, one teaspoon didnt seem enough for my tastes. With a teaspoon and a half, I get a depth of black tea that pairs perfectly with the floral - a nice brisk black tea. There arent too many floral teas in my collection especially not unless they are jasmine, so Im very happy I bought a bit of this one. Will be drinking it especially in Spring!
Steep #1 // 1 1/2 teaspoons for a full mug// few minutes after boiling // 3 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 3-4 minute steep |

A Delightful Surprise |

Lilac Bouquet tea is absolutely delightful. I wasnt sure what to expect and thought perhaps the lilac would be too intense, It isnt. The black tea and that delicious, delightful lilac flavor are perfectly balanced.
This is a soft, delicate tea yet flavorful. Its sweet and flowery jammy tasting to me. This is tea for leisurely relaxed moments alone or chatting with friends.
This is another for my keeper list. Its excellent both hot and iced. |
