this is NOT gooseberry |
8/20/2020 |
I grew up in Eastern Europe and my grandparents cultivated a variety of gooseberries (in addition to other berries like white, red and black currants, strawberries), so I am VERY familiar with gooseberries. I have enjoyed them in all colors, shapes and forms.
This tea DOES NOT TASTE ANYTHING LIKE GOOSEBERRY. Some unknown artificial flavor - yes; gooseberry - absolutely not.
In addition, the smell is so strong that its aftertaste lasts for hours. |

Fragrant Gooseberry |

This tea has a very lovely berry smell. It's fruity but also has a slight malty quality to it that I don't always get with fruit or berry teas. It actually does really well with a dash of cream too! I find it has an almost candy like sweetness to it. This is a very enjoyable tea with many sides to it! |

I was worried about buying this tea because I wasnt quite sure what a gooseberry was much less how it tasted, so I settled on buying a sample, and I was blown away! This tea is going to be one of my favorites for years to come! |
