The "Duke" |

Has a lovely black currant smell and taste. We like it much better than the black currant tea. Also gifted my brother some who likes it as well. |

A perfect blend |

I usually do not care for flavored teas and assume they are for people who drink flavored vodka instead of martinis and single malts. Mostly I drink Assam and Darjeeling single estate teas, with Early Grey being the only flavored tea in my tea chest. However, the favorable reviews for Duke Cardiffs Black Tea Blend persuaded me to try it, and I do like it very much. The black currant adds just enough flavor, so that it doesnt overwhelm the tea. I wouldnt drink it all the time, but sometimes it is just what I want. |

Light tea |

This is a good tasting tea that is not very strong so prefect for making at an office with no milk and honey. I generally sweeten and lighten my teas at home but this one is fine to have black. |

The black currant blend Id stock up on! |
4/3/2016 |
I thought this blend wouldnt be for me since Im not a black currant fan but why are S&V teas always so GOOD?!?! If there is a successful black currant flavor, this is one of them. And the pairing with the black tea is wonderful. I wish I knew what types of black tea were used description says China and India black... especially once in a while in the scoop there is a tea that looks rolled up like gunpowder green or a really dark oolong. I dont think the flavor is deep enough for that tea to be a black pearl, but this should be black tea so Im not sure. The brew is a deep red. The base itself is fruity with hints of floral and whatever it tastes like is perfect with the black currant. A medium level strength brew. If I stocked up on a black currant tea, this would be it!

A refreshing sip! |

I admit it! I am a tea snob. Only Darjeeling satisfied me. Then I discovered Duke of Cardiff tea. The light currant flavor provided a delightful change of pace. Do I still drink Darjeeling? Of course, but Im never without my Duke of Cardiff stash! |

This is a flavored tea |

We were so surprised to find that this blended tea was also flavored. The description seemed to be using terms to describe the tones of black currant but not that there was flavor added to the black tea blend. We do not care for this flavor. For someone who is expecting it, this would receive 5 stars. Im sure it is very high quality, just not our cup of tea. |

Received as a gift - now a favorite |

I would have not bought this blend, as I have so many others I enjoy, but when I received as a gift I had to give it a try... I am hooked! The smooth flavor is just right very pleasing and I love the bit of current you catch on the back end. Thank you SVTEA for another great tea |

fond memory |

I found a small amount of very old Duke Cardiffs blend while cleaning out a cabinet. I remembered that it was a favorite. When I brewed it, I still got a wonderful, subtly flowery, satisfying black tea, despite the long storage of the tea. Its time to renew my supply. |

Fit for a Duchess! |

Its been about 12 years since I was introduced to this tea. It is still my go to for a bright cup with mellow undertones. Tastes magnificent with a bit of honey or agave and stands up well with cream. Also makes great iced tea. You will love this tea. BTW, only Assam Beesakoopie gets 5 stars from me...peerless flavor. |

My family are tea lovers, a trait we probably inherited from my British and Welsh great grandmothers. This beautiful tea is a hands down favorite. It has a very special fruity flavor and scent. We enjoy brewing it in one of Grandmas teapots for a sisterly chat around the table. Very refreshing in a mixed blend for iced tea in summer. |

Beautiful tea with the blue and white leaves. I am addicted to this tea! Slightly fruity, with a smooth heartiness. I love it hot, with and without sugar/milk and I enjoy it iced. |
