Decadent dessert tea! |
2/22/2021 |
I'm fairly new to tea, and I've tried a lot of different types... It turns out, I'm really not a fan of black tea. I like tisanes/rooibos better, which makes sense, as I've never been a fan of caffeine. Having said that, I do actually like this tea. Quite a bit, actually. It has a lovely, bold chocolate taste that is so good! And of all the teas I've tried, this one is probably the closet to tasting like what the name says it is. There IS a decadent, brownie-like taste to it! |

Brownie Tea |
10/23/2019 |
This is an interesting take on a chocolate type tea. While dry the aroma is sort of earthy and chocolate like with a generous amount of cocoa nibs and some cinnamon pieces spread throughout the blend. Once brewed it actually smells more like a chocolate covered raisin to me! I was thinking it might be malty due to the smell but it's actually quite bright for a chocolate flavored tea. I think that makes this blend unique. |

Cinnamon Chocoate? Yes please! |
6/13/2019 |
I was slightly wary of this tea at first because I didnt think that cinnamon and chocolate in a tea sounded all that great - but I was so surprised at how good this tea was! It is nice and sweet, but that sweetness is balanced out by the spice from the cinnamon. It has a very nice body and really, really good flavor. I also love that you can still taste the black tea even with strong flavors like cinnamon and chocolate floating around in there. This is an excellent tea! |

Cinnamon Chocolate Brownie |
3/22/2019 |
The Cinnamon Chocolate Brownie Organic Black tea is one of my new favorites. The chocolate flavor is one of the best cacao tastes I've had in a tea, and the quality of black tea that is used pairs with it perfectly. The cinnamon flavor isn't overpowering either, just a warm essence in the background. |

Cinnamon Chocolate Tea |
3/13/2019 |
I thought I had reviewed this tea but looking at them I don’t see that I did. I still had some left so I decided to try it again. This tea was an interesting combination of chocolate and cinnamon. The black tea base is good and stands up to the chocolate and subtle cinnamon flavorings. Another great dessert tea! |

This dessert tea has a great quality of chocolate flavoring balanced excellently with the right variety of black tea. The gentle warmth of cinnamon adds a nice touch to the the cup, as well. |

A Good Afternoon Pick-Me-Up |
8/18/2018 |
I like to make this tea at work in the afternoons. It satiates my sweet-tooth and gives me a nice caffeine boost after lunch. I really like the touch of cinnamon and I enjoy the tea with milk and sugar. |

Cinnamon chocolate brownie |
7/26/2018 |
I have been blown away by the black dessert teas I’ve tried so far from Simpson and Vail. I was excited to try this interesting combination of cinnamon and chocolate. I had it with a bit of sugar and it was very good. It’s sweet and a great tea for the afternoon or after dinner. I can taste the chocolate but wish it had a bit more cinnamon as I only get a hint of that. |

Chocolate loveliness |
2/11/2018 |
Nice cup of chocolatey tea, not so cinnamonny, bit that is okay. I was going more for the chocolate brownie and it lived up. I added some stevia and chocolate almond milk, and it is instant yum! Bought on a half price sale at a coffee and tea shop on a whim, but I would buy this again. But the website says they out of stock now. Wah. |

Chocolate, yes; cinnamon, maybe? |
10/28/2017 |
This tea definitely has notes of chocolate, which can be a bit bitter without sweetener; once I added a little sugar, it was quite yummy. I don't know that it specifically screams "brownie" as opposed to "chocolate bar," but it was tasty nevertheless. I didn't really get any cinnamon, but then I like my cinnamon potent. It's overall a pretty mild tea...if you're looking for something more heavily chocolatey, I'd actually recommend the strawberry cupcake dessert tea, as well. |

This tea has a wonderful natural taste and aroma of chocolate with a hint of cinnamon. We sometimes add a pinch of sugar. |

Perfectly Balanced |

This blend has just the right amount of all ingredients in it. Ive had other teas where the cinnamon taste takes over the whole cup but not this blend! I thoroughly enjoyed settling down with a cup of this tea in the evening. |

Delicious and just what I thought itd be |
9/1/2016 |
I bought this tea on a whim, wanting to try it and see if it could replace the lack of that chocolate carb in my life. Its a good fit. I still crave the dessert, but this tea, with a little sweetener and milk, satisfies that desire as best as any tea can. I wish the chocolate flavor came out a little stronger, but its an excellent tea and worth the try. Im just a die hard chocoholic. ;-) |

Does have a brownie-like quality! |
12/31/2015 |
This was the second tea I tried from S&V after the Carrot Cake Cupcake tisane which I loved. It was tasty and did have a brownie-like quality. The smell and taste actually reminded me of Christmas! I just wish it had a little more brownie or a little more cinnamon or something to give it some more oomph! Next time I will try it with sweetener. I did use a splash of almond milk. Overall, good and I will be happy to finish mt 2 oz but wont need a refill. |

This one lives up to its name! |
11/24/2015 |
If I had to guess the flavor, I’d probably say brownie. Though I could just think it is a very unique black tea. It almost tastes like a little like coffee to me. The cinnamon isn’t too present..until the second steep when I used just boiled water. But I like the brownie/black tea flavor anyway. I wonder if the tea just naturally tasted like a brownie? It’s an excellent deep, dark flavor. Hopefully it will wake me up, too! |

Tastes like cinnamon brownie |
11/22/2015 |
I was surprised how much this tasted like a cinnamon brownie one of my favorite tricks to make brownies more interesting!. I brewed this in boiling water for 3 minutes, took out the tea, finished the first cup, and was able to use the same leaves to brew a second time with just as much flavor. I highly recommend this tea, especially with a splash of vanilla almond milk to make it a little creamier |

Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!! |
8/3/2015 |
I ordered this on a whim and I am so glad I did. This is so smooth and is as satisfying as any dessert with no calories!! The chocolate and cinnamon blend is such that you can taste both flavors at once, neither one overpowering the other. I have not tried it iced yet, but I am going to because I think it will be fantastic. Try this, you wont be disappointed. |

This tea is pretty amazing for how exact the flavors are. The flavors of some teas arent as advertised, but this tastes exactly like it says. Love it. |

Nice chocolatey tea |

I havent found too many chocolate teas Ive actually enjoyed, but this one is wonderful. The chocolate and cinnamon play so nicely together. I know its meant as a dessert tea, but I tend to drink it anytime. |

I used too much or brewed too long my first try. Second time I tried it was much better and very tasty with the cinnamon and chocolate flavors. |

Familiar Chocolate Aftertaste In a Pleasant Tea |
6/14/2014 |
Just the right amount of cocoa to provide an authentic chocolate aftertaste. Cinnamon is very subtle and not a primary flavor. The tea itself without an added sweetener has a mild, pleasant level of bitterness from the cocoa. Overall, a very nice mix that delivers what is promised. |
