I love it regardless |

Does it actually taste like baklava? Not really, but it does taste good. If you want to get a bit closer, have it with honey! |

Not Really Baklava |
7/4/2020 |
This tea certainly doesn't taste bad, but it's really not baklava. There are some mild spices and a tasty black tea. It's much better with milk and sugar. Just expect a mildly spiced black tea without really any baklava features. |

Awesome tea! |

I love this dessert tea. It smells awesome and the taste is delightful. I wish though that the flavor of baklava was slightly stronger. |

Very cozying |

I am usually a green, white, or rooibos drinker, but occasionally get a hankering from something more dense. This is a delicious, warming tea with a instant, up-front cinnamon or maybe all-spice flavor, that blends down quickly with rich, long-lasting, nutty and caramel or brown sugar aftertaste. Reminds me sleigh bells or snow fall -- all things Christmas-y. The aroma is decadent, with the caramel coming through more in the nose than tastebuds. Reminds me a lot of SV's Caramel Walnut Shortbread tea, both of which are winners. |

Not really baklava, but still good |

I've only had baklava once or twice in my life, and it really doesn't remind me of it, but that doesn't mean it isn't tasty. It reminds me more of a honey-flavored chai than anything. It's very heavy on the spices, and there's a light honey flavor that comes out when you sweeten it. Not something I'd want to drink in the spring and summer months, but perfect for the fall and winter. |

Not what I was hoping for in this blend. |

I had to try this one, as I adore most of the S&V blends I've tried. But I just can't seem to find anything special with this one. The black tea base results in the lightest of brews - it's the lightest of honey colors and has barely any flavor itself. I definitely need more from a black tea than this. The blackberry leaves don't ruin the flavor but they really shouldn't be here either. Otherwise, I'm only tasting a hint of spices. The roses are a nice touch but I don't think they add much to the taste. I've only had actual baklava once in my life (and it probably wasn't an accurate TRUE baklava) but if baklava is supposed to be dough and honey and nuts, this tea is definitely not that. This blend just doesn't work for what it's supposed to represent, and I would just find this blend boring no matter what the name was. Sorry, S&V!
Steep #1 // 1 1/2 teaspoons for a full mug// 16 minutes after boiling // 2 1/2 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 4 minute steep |

Not reminiscent of baklava |

This was one of many S&V teas that I ordered to tried. While I was blown away by most, this was the only one I actively disliked. It didn't remind me of baklava at all - and in fact, had almost a chai taste to me. While I will be a return customer for sure, I will not be reordering this flavor. |

Too Light For Me |
12/9/2018 |
I ordered this as a sample because i'm not usually one to enjoy dessert teas, however I have always been a HUGE fan of baklava my whole life and when I saw this I couldn't let it go!
My first impression was the smell. It smells wonderfully delicious, spicy and sweet! It wet my appetite to try a cup as soon as possible! My first taste, however, did not live up to the strong smell. I expected the smell to suggest the taste would be strong as well and was disappointed to find I barely taste any baklava at all. There is a hint of nuttiness that baklava has, but I didn't even taste any sweet.
I added a couple spoons of honey and it tastes a little better after that, but the idea that this tastes just like baklava is not accurate to me. I was disappointed.. BUT, as a lightly flavored black tea I still enjoy this tea very much and if you don't hold the tea up to the expectation of tasting just like baklava then I would still suggest this to any friends who enjoy black tea with honey! |

I really like the dessert teas - this one did not disappoint. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but it's actually quite nice. It's not too sweet, and has a nice spicy flavor to it. |

Baklava Black tea |
7/31/2018 |
I received this as a sample in my last order and I was very excited to try this tea. It’s different from the other dessertgtras ive had from Simpson and vail. I’ve never had Baklava so I can’t say if it tastes like the dessert but it’s very good. It’s not too sweet and is more on the spicy side, but it’s not too spicy. Not my favorite but still very good. |
