A Very Nice Assam |

To my taste S&V Orangajuli Assam is "lightly brisk." I find its comparitively mild astringency a plus as well. |

Nice Assam |

The leaves of this Assam have a very pleasant cocoa smell and it brews to a beautiful tea with a reddish tint. It has maltiness, but less so than some of the other Assams that SV has in the line-up. Similarly, a bit less robust than some of the 'darkest' Assams - which some folks might prefer. Overall, a nice Assam and good value! |

A Smooth and Mellow Assam |
2/26/2016 |
Some mornings I stand in front of the tea cupboard and cant decide what to drink. The stash overwhelms. This morning was my first time brewing this lovely tippy bright Assam. The tea is very rich yet the smoothest, most mellow Assam I have tried. It has a fresh, full, sweet, slightly spicy, slightly fruity taste. There is a moderate malty taste. Adding a splash of 1/2 and 1/2 to the second cup enhanced the malty, toasty taste. This Assam doesnt need a sweetener but if you must then make it a very small amount of honey. I really enjoyed the smoothness and less astringent taste of this tea and expect it would also be a great afternoon tea, as well as, a good morning wake up tea.. |

A strong, smooth, flavorful tea that stays good for at least two steepings. Hopefully a third will be just as good. |
