New Favorite Assam |
6/27/2021 |
This one is the best. Malty and full bodied. Great with sugar and makes an amazing sweet cold tea or hot tea. This one is one I’ll keep on hand all the time. |

Assam with a distinct flavour |
3/13/2018 |
This is a fine Assam tea with quite a distinct flavour. It is in my mind slightly fruity which adds an interesting note to the traditional Assam flavour. All in all a delightful tea that is not too heavy and can be enjoyed any hour. It goes well with milk and allows a second steep. |

Best Breakfast Tea Ive ever had |
5/9/2017 |
This is a beautiful tea in every respect. The leaves are a nice size for scooping with a standard tea measure and the infusion is a reddish amber. The flavor is robust and bracing, but not bitter, and it takes milk well. Will be reordering as soon as we are out. |

A classic assam! |
2/27/2016 |
A lovely assam here with dark twisted leaves with hints of gold. I think assam is so unique -- I just love the briskness that also has sweetness and there is plenty of that here! The coppery rustiness in the best way... only assam has that! Always have to have a few great assams in the cupboard. I cant say much about this one but everything positive and Im very glad I bought this one. Its a very comforting and delicious cup! I love that S&V specializes in both unflavored and flavored options... they are always quite delicious teas!
Steep #1 // 1 heaping teaspoon for a full mug// few minutes after boiling // 3 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 4 minute steep |

Another Great Assam |
2/20/2016 |
Assams from India are my all-time favorite teas. Dikom is simply spectacular. For years Ive bought the pricey golden tips from the Dikom estate. They are indeed liquid gold but light bodied and best for the afternoon or evening. Happy day when I discovered S&V sells Assam Dikom.
The first thing I do with a new tea order is to open the package and inhale the lovely aromas. Dikom has a malty dark cocoa smell.
This tea when brewed is brisk, bright, full-bodied, peppy and the perfect morning wake up drink. Dikom has a powerful yet creamy malty richness to it with hints of honey from the golden tips. This tea is robust and flavorful the way an Assam should be.
I drink mine straight yet it is sturdy enough for 1/2 and 1/2 without losing any of the robustness. |

Decidedly Ambrosial |
2/14/2016 |
Full-bodied and sumptuous with a subtle piquancy—not your classic brisk breakfast Assam. For me, more of an afternoon, dessert, or special occasions brew. That said, others may find its explosive richness just the ticket for everyday fare. A worthy offering. |

Very Smooth |
6/28/2015 |
I love this tea for one reason, it is very smooth almost like silk. If tea had a texture I am sure this would be silk. It has a slight chocolate flavor and an almost woodsy after taste. I highly recommend this one. |

A Must Have Assam You Will Love |
2/10/2015 |
Ok, I will admit, I love Assams. I was getting too comfortable, ordering the same great Assams each time I needed a refill. so I tried one ounce of this new Dikom from India. MISTAKE. I should have ordered four ounces to start. One of my tests for a good Assam is that have a good nose, just like wine. Right inside the tea tin, it has a wonderful aroma, almost like a chocolate malt. The flavor reflects the nose, intriguing, creamy, chocolate-y and delightful. It will be part of every order from now on! |
