Detailed Description
This slightly sweet, scrumptious blend has a lightly toasted flavor with the delicious taste of apples and cinnamon. Sipping this tea reminds me of the Sunday morning breakfast treats of my childhood. Now that I'm all grown up I could have those treats every day of the week; however, I think I'll stick to this tea blend instead. It's full of the sinful tastes of childhood but, with no calories, it suits my adult metabolism!

Ingredients: Black teas, organic cinnamon chips, apple pieces, apple coffeecake flavoring and orange blossoms.

Brew tea at 212º - steep for 3 minutes.

Certified Kosher

Apple Cinnamon Tea Cookies

 Apple Cinnamon Tea Cookies
These cookies are so scrumptious that we ate almost all of them right from the oven!

To add the superb flavor to these cookies, we infused our Apple Cinnamon Coffeecake black dessert tea in butter then strained out the leaves. The butter was left with the most heavenly taste and aroma.

Tea butter:
2 sticks (8oz) butter
8 Tbsp Apple Cinnamon Coffeecake Black tea blend

Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add the tea and steep on low heat for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and steep for 5 minutes. Strain the leaves from the butter using a fine strainer or cheesecloth. Some of the butter clings to the tea leaves, so always make sure to use more butter than a recipe calls for when making infused tea butters. I strained the tea butter into a measuring cup to make sure I had enough for my cookies. Once strained, cool the butter so it solidifies.

Cookies:
3/4 cup (6oz) tea butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 egg, plus 1 egg yolk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup Apples, chopped small (choose a firm baking apple like granny smith)

Pre-heat the oven to 350 and lightly grease a cookie sheet.

In an electric mixer beat the tea butter and sugars together. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until creamy.

Stir the flour, salt and soda together. Gradually add to the sugar/butter mixture until incorporated.

Apple Cinnamon Tea Cookies Fold in the apples.

Roll the dough into 1 1/4" balls (a rounded teaspoon size) and place on the greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-13 minutes until golden brown.

Cool on the sheet slightly before moving to a wire rack.

Enjoy with your favorite cup of tea!

Personal favorite of all the SV blends 3/6/2022
Smells like heaven, tastes just as good. Cinnamon is definitely the primary flavor note, so I wouldn't suggest doing something crazy like throwing in a cinnamon stick to steep with it; it doesn't need any help. God-tier blend mixed with a little bit of hot chocolate mix, but it shines brightest when paired with a snack containing hazelnuts. Try it, I'm serious. Get yourself some nutella or a ferrero rocher and eat it with this tea and experience nirvana up front and personal. Always keep in mind that cinnamon gets weird if you let it steep too long, though. Keep an eye on it if you don't want to risk having to dump out the whole pot.

loved this 4/23/2021
This is a wonderful tea. This tea is perfect and when I drink it, I remember the wonderful coffee cake with walnuts I had as a child. the flavors are just right and even my husband likes it. We are going to order a third tin for us since this is so popular with us and guests that visit and will give it as gifts. Perfect for anytime of year. Love to have this while enjoying an audiobook curled up with my beautiful cat.

Exquisite apple cinnamon torture 5/14/2020
This legit tastes like an apple pastry, maybe an apple croissant. The apple is upfront, backed by cinnamon and a "dough-y" taste. This is magical. Also, it does NOT mix well with the Bronte Sisters tea. Somehow they cancel each other out and I was very sad. This tea wants you to be warm, happy, and filled with apples.

Nice Balanced Tea 9/26/2019
I love that this tea is balanced in its flavor. No one flavor stands out and overpowers the others. The hints of apple and cinnamon are perfect. I have been enjoying this tea each morning for a few days and each cup has been a pleasure to sip.

I don't know 7/13/2019
The Apple Cinnamon Coffeecake, Dessert Tea wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I think I probably didn't pick up on the fact that it is a black tea, which I don't really care for. It tastes a lot like a "barely there" almond Rooibos, not very full. Maybe I'll try it cold.

Good Blend of Flavors 3/9/2019
I tried this tea this morning with my breakfast. It is quite tasty, and I appreciate the good balance of flavors. Neither the apple nor the spice is overly dominant. I'm not usually a fan of the taste of black tea, so I'm glad that flavor is not too pronounced.

Apple Cinnamon Coffee cake 7/31/2018
I have tried as many Simpson and Vail teas since I discovered them a few weeks ago. At first while I enjoyed this tea, it wasn’t my favorite. However since then this has become my favorite of the dessert teas. I’ve been trying to cut down on coffee ( but now I see you have coffee I may have to order some of that as well) this has been the tea I’m reaching for more then others. It’s so good!

Apple cinnamon Coffeecake tea 7/10/2018
This tea is pretty good. It has a nice apple flavor with some sweetness from the coffee cake. I really like that you can taste the cinnamon but it isn’t overpowering like some other teas I’ve had before. It wasn’t my favorite out of all the dessert teas I tried but it was very good.

the perfect dessert - in a tea 4/23/2018
I've had apple teas and I've had cinnamon spiced teas. Whatever S&V has done to put this tea together blows them all out of the water. It is so good - just like an coffeecake.

Tastes like toasty streusel! 8/23/2017
I've had teas that tasted more like pure apple, but the addition of the toasty "coffeecake" flavor makes this a very unique tea. It has a really different scent and taste that reminds me heavily of the crumbly streusel on top of a good coffeecake...a little buttery and like brown sugar. The other reviews are right...the smell is even better than the flavor, which is heavenly. I definitely recommend this tea. I will say that the cinnamon flavor is very muted...if you're a cinnamon lover, try the sweet sizzlin' cinnamon, which satisfies that urge and then some.

A classic combination, but the coffeecake flavor makes this unique! 10/26/2016
Plenty of goodies in this blend, so I went with two teaspoons! What a lovely autumn blend during this miserable weather: apple, cinnamon, orange blossoms, and a unique toasty flavor I havent tasted with any other tea.... that must be the coffeecake flavor. The ingredients in the blend play nice, but how could they not? Apples and cinnamon are the classic combination. The black tea used here enhances the fruitiness of the apple, yet adds dark layers to the cinnamon and coffeecake flavor. The orange blossoms dont add much to the flavor, as far as I can tell. The toasty flavor is actually stronger than the cinnamon. Without the toastiness, it might be an ordinary tea, but the toasty flavor brings something unique to this blend! Its definitely an autumn blend, but I could drink this all year. This was a sample in the dessert box sampler, but I would definitely stock up on this. I stole an apple cube from the infuser and it was delicious. :D Steep #1 // 2 teaspoons for a full mug// 10 minutes after boiling // 3 minute steep Steep #2 // just boiled // 5 minute steep

Apple cider 3/6/2016
This is a great tea. When drinking you get a great apple with spices flavor like a non-alcholic apple cider with a lingering taste of a little black tea with cinnamon.

Good to have on a cold day. 2/14/2016
Dessert tea or not, I like to have this in the morning. In all truth, the toasty, bakey flavor combined with the apple and cinnamon seems more breakfasty to me than anything. It smells lovely too, though since it is a bit strong you might want to keep it away from any other teas.

A different kind of mug cake! 9/15/2015
The other reviews do not lie--this smells and tastes like apple cinnamon coffee cake in tea form. Am looking forward to drinking this while watching the sun come up on cool fall mornings.

delightful! 3/8/2015
There is nothing like the aroma of this tea! It is warm and fragrant - smells exactly like an apple cinnamon coffeecake. It is one of my favorite Sunday morning treats.

Absolutely perfect 2/8/2015
It really is apple cinnamon coffee cake in a cup. Delicious!

Ohhhhhh...this tea is WONDERFUL! 12/5/2014
I received my second shipment of Apple Cinnamon Coffeecake tea today and stowed it safely away in two Simpson and Vail tins...theYellow Ducks Tin and the Teapots Tin. I did save a bit out to give to a friend so she could try it. I know she is going to love it and I enclosed a catalog so she can order it for herself. This particular tea smells so delicious and tastes delicious as well. It is definitely dessert in a cup without the calories of coffeecake!

Autumn favorite 10/22/2014
This one is a winner any time of year but especially during the autumn season. The aroma and taste of spiced apples are unmistakable. This tea warms the soul as the chill of autumn enters the air.

How to enjoy the taste of coffeecake without the calories. 2/19/2014
Soothing on a cold winters day in the Northeast. Enjoyed a cup at a friends house and had to find a local place that sold this. Since it was gifted to her, she could not tell me where I could buy it. Found it !!
- Lois, NY

Subtle yet sweet 10/23/2013
I found the tea to have a very subtle fragrance of vanilla. I was pleased to see the flower petals were orange! I would make it a bit stronger than the usual 1 teaspoon per cup.

Apple Cinnamon Coffeecake 9/19/2013
A delicious tea that smells just like apple cinnamon coffeecake, especially after drinking -- it made my entire dorm room smell like apple cake for a day! I love this tea. I recommend half and half or whole milk for a more dessert-like taste, or nothing for a lighter taste.

Addictive Tea 9/17/2013
This tea is one of the most flavorful teas I have ever tasted. I have quickly become addicted to it! Love the aroma and robust flavor. It is dessert in a cup without the calories or the guilt. What more could a person want!?!
- Rebecca C., CT

Aromatic! 9/29/2011
This is the best apple tea that I have ever tasted! The cinnamon adds a touch of extra flavor. Its also has a beautiful visual appearance.
