From the east-central African nation of Tanzania; a majority of the coffee grown is along the slopes of Mt.Kilimanjaro in Moshi, Mt. Meru and Mt. Oldeani.
It is believed to have been introduced during the 16th century via Ethiopia. Although commerical cultivation began in the early 1900's, production began to thrive when the British planted coffee trees across the country after World War II.
A uniquely shaped bean producing a rich, mellow aroma with a delicate acidity (tartness) and light flavorful winy taste. The beans have been wet processed to enhance their flavor.
Our coffees are available either ground or whole bean. We can grind coffees from Perc (coarse) to Turkish (extra-fine). Please specify when you order if you would like Bean, Perc, French Press, Drip, Melitta, Espresso or Turkish grind.
