(Citrus aurantium) Originating in Southeast Asia, orange trees are now cultivated in many places around the globe. Orange Peel is excellent as an ingredient in potpourri or tea. For an excellent hot tea try combining it with black tea and clove or mix with hibiscus flowers and rosehips for a good iced tea. Medicinally, orange peel has been used for its anti-inflammatory properties and for digestive complaints.
Brew 1 tsp of herb in 1 cup of water at 212º - steep for 15 minutes.

Orange Peel Scrub
Grind orange peels in a spice grinder until it resembles cornmeal or coffee grinds. Allow to air dry if moist. Mix 1 Tbsp dried peel with 1 Tbsp ground oats and 2 Tbsp of water to use as a facial scrub.
