(Tilia europea) Native to Europe and North America, the leaves and flower from the Linden tree are used to treat colds, coughs, fevers, headaches and high blood pressure. It also has been used for stress related anxiety, insomnia and mild depression. Topically it has been used to soothe tired, puffy eyes and is therefore beneficial when used as a facial steam.
Brew 2 tsp of herb in 1 cup of water at 212º - steep for 15-20 minutes.

Facial Steam
Ingredients:
3 cups distilled water
½ cup apple cider vinegar
1 tsp lavender blossoms
1 tsp rose petals
1 tsp. linden flowers
Preparation:
Boil the water and the vinegar. Place herbs in a large bowl, pour the water/vinegar over the herbs, cover and steep for 5 minutes. Place the bowl in a safe, comfortable place, uncover the bowl, bend low over it and cover your head and the bowl with a towel to form a tent. Keep your eyes closed, and breathe slowly. Follow the steam with a mask and moisturizer.
