(Cichorium intybus) Chicory root has long been roasted and then ground to be used as a substitute for coffee and found in coffee blends and herbal "coffee" blends.
(Capsicum annuum) Chili pepper increases circulation and is quite beneficial in treating congestion and other symptoms of flu and cold. It has been used to strengthen the immune system and as an analgesic. Caffeine Free.
Coconut is the fruit from a large palm tree that is grown throughout the tropics. High in saturated fat, coconuts are also low in sugar and high in minerals. Dried, grated coconut can be used in a variety of culinary recipes. It can be eaten alone or sprinkled over cereal or fruit and is a tasty addition to granola, curries, vegetable dishes, salads, baked goods, and smoothies.
(Symphytum officinale). A perennial plant found in damp areas in the US and Europe, comfrey is a favorite healing plant for many skin problems. It contains allantoin, which helps stimulate the growth of new cells, and so has been used for many years externally for skin wounds.
(Viburnum opulus) Historically used as a relaxer of muscle tension and spasm. Useful for cramps either muscular in nature or ovarian and uterine. Usually used in combination with other herbs. Boil 2 tsp. in 1 cup of water and then gently simmer for 10-15 minutes. Caffeine Free.
