Flor de sal - Natural Salt |

250 gram tin. This salt has a very clean, natural taste with a hint of violet. It makes for a replacement for regular table salt and cooking salt as the large crystals impart more flavor with less salt and make it less likely for one to over salt.
In 2003 Katja Wöhr with her partners Sabine Kersten and Robert Chaves began production and commercialization of Flor de Sal de Es Trenc, Mallorca, Spain. This Flor de Sal is harvested by hand early in the morning from the salinas in the town of Es Trenc. This all-natural “flower of the salt” is completely unrefined and un-bleached thus preserving its texture and all 84 minerals and elements. The two women corroborated with Michelin starred chef Marc Fosh to develop these uniquely flavored salts.
