Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. The Longberry is a large bean grown between 5000 to 6000 feet on small individual lots/farms. They are dry-processed, where the coffee bean, after having been cleaned and sorted, is dried mostly in the sun on large patios made up of asphalt or cement before being transferred to mechanical dryers to reduce the moisture content.
Grown beneath a forest canopy of mature trees, this rich and bold coffee has a medium body and mild acidity. The sweet, winey coffee has spicy overtones and a slight peppery finish.
Our coffees are available either ground or whole bean. We can grind coffees from Perc (coarse) to Turkish (extra-fine). Please specify when you order if you would like Bean, Perc, French Press, Drip, Melitta, Espresso or Turkish grind.
