(Eleutherococcus senticosus) Native to Asia and Russia, this herb has been a mainstay in Traditional Chinese Medicine since approximately 190 AD. Eleuthero has been studied extensively by Russian scientists and was used to help fight radiation sickness after the Chernobyl disaster. It has also been used to help boost the immune system and for increasing endurance and for those suffering from low energy levels. Studies show that it helps cure colds and infections and improves overall health.
