(Arctium lappa) A biennial plant found wildly in Europe and the northern U.S., Burdock is held in high-esteem by herbalists. Internally and externally, Burdock root is an important herb for skin imbalances (psoriasis, acne, eczema). Historically, Burdock has been used to detoxify blood and eliminate waste as well as to treat rheumatism and gout. Beneficial for the liver and kidneys, Burdock is an essential ingredient in detoxifying teas.
For tea: Put 1 tsp. of herbs in 1 cup of water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
