These black teas from Bolivia were made possible through a cooperative effort between the Bolivian farmers and US AID. These organic loose leaf teas are produced at the "ChaiMate" gardens in Northern Bolivia. This is the area where the Andes Mountains meet the Amazon River Basin. This beautiful and secluded area is approximately 3,500 feet above sea level and is ideal for tea cultivation, combining the Andean cool snow capped mountain air with the warm moist air from the Amazon.
