(Rubus fruitcosus). Blackberry leaf comes from a perennial bush that is grown in the Northeastern and Midwestern United States. Luscious Blackberries have been enjoyed by humans for over 2000 years, and blackberry leaf has also been used for many, many years either chewed or in teas for a variety of medicinal purposes. Blackberry leaf has been said to be effective for mouth ailments, bleeding gums, diarrhea and mild sore throat. It was traditionally used in Britain externally as a wash for skin eruptions and burns.
Brew tea at 212º - steep for 5-10 minutes.
