(Betula alba) White birch is a tree that is found growing in the northern US as well as Canada and Northern Europe. Uses of birch bark range from folk remedies to treat stomach and intestinal problems, to ingredients in cosmetics, and was used by the Native Americans as material for canoes, bowls and tipis. The root is also decocted and used externally as a bath additive for severe or chronic skin problems.
Brew tea at 212º - steep for 5 minutes.
