(Medicago sativa) Alfalfa is a perennial plant found on the borders of fields, in low valleys, and is widely cultivated. The leaves are rich in minerals and nutrients, including calcium, magnesium, potassium and beta carotene. Historically alfalfa has been used to stimulate the appetite, treat digestive problems (particularly ulcers), and treat arthritis.
Brew tea at 212º - steep for 3 minutes.
